The OOH (out-of-home) advertising includes digital output in taxis, malls, transit systems, gas stations, hotels, and other venues. Despite the current economic climate and declining traditional advertising spending, the U.S. digital out-of home media industry is on pace to grow 11.2% to $2.43 billion in 2008, according to research released by PQ Media (www.pqmedia.com), a provider of media econometrics. PQ Media also forecasts digital OOH spending in the U.S. to grow at a compound annual rate of 12.9% from 2007 to 2012.
